Welcome to the Christleton Blog. This is the best place to check what is happening as I tend to mention here any new items or features to the website as and when they happen and give a link to where you will find them. But I would encourage you to click around the site and explore. You are currently in the main part and you will find links to two other main sections. The Christleton War Voices which has an immense amount of information about Christleton in World War I. The other is Christleton 3 which is rich in photographs and includes two regular monthly features. Wildlife Watch and The History File. Enjoy.

Proposed Law College Development

Battle is about to begin again to save Christleton

I trust you have some time to spare as a revised planning application concerning Christleton Hall appeared on the Cheshire West website today 29th January 2018. There are 10 multi paged documents to take in. There appears to have been a complete rethink on the layout and types of houses although they still number 42 plus 14 apartments in the Hall. The planning reference is 17/04127/FUL. You have until 19th February to raise concerns. A date I will have no difficulty in remembering as it was my fathers's birthday. In the previous application there was an extensive document prepared by Christleton Parish Council laying out their objections which mirrored the objections of many of the residents of Christleton. They also made reasonable proposals to tackle the resulting traffic problems should the application be approved. This document does not appear to be still online but I would like to compliment the Parish Council on the work they did in its preparation. Their objections made a lot of common sense. Whether the planning authorities will agree we will have to wait and see.
