Welcome to the Christleton Blog. This is the best place to check what is happening as I tend to mention here any new items or features to the website as and when they happen and give a link to where you will find them. But I would encourage you to click around the site and explore. You are currently in the main part and you will find links to two other main sections. The Christleton War Voices which has an immense amount of information about Christleton in World War I. The other is Christleton 3 which is rich in photographs and includes two regular monthly features. Wildlife Watch and The History File. Enjoy.

Camellias at Eaton Hall, Cheshire

Eaton Hall Gardens Charity Open Day at Easter

It was a bit chilly and damp on Easter Sunday 16th April, 2017 but no way did this worry the camellias at Eaton Hall. They provided an amazing display undercover in the Camellia Walk. The Camellia House was built in 1852 and extended to its current length of 385 feet in 1870. This was the first of four Charity Open Days, the funds going to local charities. You will not see the impressive spring display of camellias but you can get to see the other delights of this wonderful garden on the remaining Open Days this year on Sunday 28th May, Sunday 30th July and Sunday 27th August.
