Welcome to the Christleton Blog. This is the best place to check what is happening as I tend to mention here any new items or features to the website as and when they happen and give a link to where you will find them. But I would encourage you to click around the site and explore. You are currently in the main part and you will find links to two other main sections. The Christleton War Voices which has an immense amount of information about Christleton in World War I. The other is Christleton 3 which is rich in photographs and includes two regular monthly features. Wildlife Watch and The History File. Enjoy.

Proposed 50 Houses in Christleton

What a very depressing day

The proposed development includes the building of 50 houses on what is now the car park and converting Christleton Hall into a number of apartments. Many of the newer buildings would be demolished.

This collapse on the rise of the A41 by the crossing near the Cheshire Cat looks like a big repair job as it appears it has water from the nearby canal in it. Engineers are now working from boats on the canal.

Since the collapse I have noticed a large increase in traffic passing through the village. It seems as if Christleton is being used as a Super Rat Run

The other hole I visited on this fateful day was in Quarry Lane near to the Primary School.
