Welcome to the Christleton Blog. This is the best place to check what is happening as I tend to mention here any new items or features to the website as and when they happen and give a link to where you will find them. But I would encourage you to click around the site and explore. You are currently in the main part and you will find links to two other main sections. The Christleton War Voices which has an immense amount of information about Christleton in World War I. The other is Christleton 3 which is rich in photographs and includes two regular monthly features. Wildlife Watch and The History File. Enjoy.

Wildlife Watch February 2018 edition now online

I did not take part myself although I get so much pleasure from looking out of the kitchen window at the birds visiting the seed and peanut holders. I had to recently replace the peanut bird feeder as the nuts were escaping out of the bottom and the Jay was eating me out of house and home. The new replacement feeder is now proven to be squirrel proof after quite a number of frustrated attempts. The squirrel numbers seem to be back to where I remember them years ago. The regular visitors seem to be Blue Tits, Great Tits, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Nuthatch, Wood Pigeon, Jay and Magpie. There was a single visit from a Chaffinch the other day. A bird I have not seen in my garden for a few years.
