Important Village Meeting on 29th September

Following my blog entry for 17th Agust I can now confirm that there will be a meeting on Friday 29th September from 7.00pm to 8.30pm at Christleton High School. Chris Matheson MP will be inviting the ward and parish councillors to attend the meeting along with representatives from Cheshire West and Chester Council Highways and Planning departments, Cheshire Constabulary and Highways England.

Waverton Post Office has closed. The shop remains open. I see from my old blog that it was in June 2015 that I gave a warning from Sharon Senior the Sub-postmistress that the future of the village post office was in jeopardy

Its a thanks from Ben Williams and a thanks to Ben Williams

Each year Ben Williams makes a beautiful clock which is raffled at the Christleton Village Show in July. This year the lucky winner was Alf Croston. Ben wishes to thank all those persons who bought raffle tickets. A sum of 75 pounds was raised from the raffle which was sent to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Ben received a letter of thanks from the Hospice saying the donation was much appreciated.

Farewell to the Chester Flower Club

It is a sad farewell to the Chester Flower Club following their meeting and demonstration in Christleton Parish Hall on 19th July. They have been having their monthly meetings in Christleton for the past 20 years. But now as from their next meeting in September they are moving to Mollington, Backford and District Village Hall. Carry on blooming.
