traffic1a
Traffic problems in Christleton are in the forefront of many peoples minds in view of the current planning application by the High School. If you needed any reminding of how serious the traffic issues are in the village you should read an illustrated presentation made to Christleton Parish Council by the Traffic Action Group.

St James' Parish Magazine February 2012

In view of the High School's current planning application and the Christleton Parish Council's decision to oppose it on the grounds of increasing traffic flows through the village; it would seem to be an opportune moment to provide some additional information. A link is now available on the Traffic Policies page to an interesting report prepared by the Traffic Action Group concerning Cut-through Journeys in Christleton.

The St. James' Parish Magazine for February 2012 is now available. Nice snowy cover although at the moment its just rain we have to contend with in Christleton. Blog gets a New Look for 2012

swanlogo
When I started building the site in 2000 I had a kind of logo featuring a swan flying over the Pump House. A few years later the swan became the favicon for the site. If you look to the left of the url in the web site you are browsing you will see sometimes a very small image. A miniature logo in effect. The technical name for this is a favicon. Christleton has one showing a swan flying on a black background. I have adapted this image and now made it a logo for the Christleton web site. You will start to see it at the top of many of the web pages along with the title. Some pages may need a little adapting but will see how it goes as a new look for the home page and some other pages is in the pipeline.

3 Months of Parish Council Minutes

As you will see the Blog Page for the Christleton web site has a new look for 2012. Entries now displayed in columns but the latest blog spreads across the three columns. Where appropriate entries will now have an illustration.

Christmas Eve at Church

It is nearly nine years ago that David Cummings wrote a series of articles about life in Christleton Hall in days gone by for inclusion in St. James' Parish Magazine. I thought they should be brought together and presented in new way on the web site. So now you will find this fascinating story with illustrations under the Village pull down menu item and titled The Old Hall.
