Vote for fibre broadband for Christleton

If you have ever used KMA Motors at Hidden Meadow, Brown Heath Road, Christleton you will know what an efficient, friendly and personal service they provide. I am sorry to say that we could loose this useful local business. KMA is being threatened by a planning application by the owner of the land to replace the existing steel workshop with a four room office building.
If you wish to make your concerns known and help KMA to stay in the village please log on to

Click on Comment on Application and make your thoughts known. You only have until 23rd November, 2010

Minutes and Constitution

I have just become voter number 25 for fibre broadband in Christleton. If you live in Christleton I encourage you to vote to bring high speed broadband to the Christleton telephone exchange. The project is called "The Race to Infinity" and you can vote at http://www.racetoinfinity.bt.com

Video Page

I have added to Christleton Community Plan page draft minutes for the last meeting in September. Also in pdf format the Constitution for the Steering Group.

Fete 2009

The new design for the web site has given me additional width on the menu bar and therefore room for more links. I have added a Video Page today. Nothing on it yet but I will be putting links to all the videos here. There are already some links to videos on the site catalogued with their event. I shall continue to do this but will also put links to all videos on the new Video Page so that they can be found easily

Tall Ships Liverpool 08

Had a free couple of hours so have recreated Christleton Village Fete on the new web site. There are spread over three pages and for viewing start at Page 1. You will find links on all three pages to view the remaining photographs. The old pages for the Fete will be deleted soon.

Faster Entry

Slide show for the Tall Ships Race in Liverpool in 2008 added to the events page

RSS Feed Ticker

The page you first see when typing in the url www,christleton.org.uk is part of the old Christleton web site 2000-2009. Not really required now but because of the make up of the site it has to stay. An action has been added to the page so that after a second you will be automatically be directed to the new home page. If this did not work for some reason then the facility to click on the link is still there.

Show Results

Have added a ticker tape feature near the top of the home page. This is an RSS feed for the blog page and will show the latest blog entries. If you hold your mouse over a subject that appears after a date you will see the first 150 characters of a blog entry. If it is a long entry and you want to know more then you should check here at the main blog page. The other ticker which I have now put lower down the home page shows any headlines I want to bring to your attention.
