2012 Swans and Cygnets

The police file for the 14th May has ben added to the Home Watch page.

Tribute to Tony Gardner

I feel very sad today on reading the Announcements in The Daily Telegraph. Antony Charles Barrington Brown MBE FRPS, photographer, explorer and inventor and his wife Althea Kathleen Wynne ARCA FRBS, sculptor, died in a car accident on 24th January 2012.

Antony was on his own last time he visited Stoneydale but on previous visits he was accompanied by his wife Althea. Born in a nursing home in Chester in 1927 Antony lived at Stoneydale until 1951. He wrote a long article about his life in Christleton which appeared in the June 2006 edition of St. James' Parish Magazine. After reading a lesson at St. James' on August 31st, 2008 he wrote again in the October edition of the Parish Magazine about his baptism at St. James' on 13th July, 1927 being the first year of the ministry by the Reverend Alyn Guest Williams. A visit to Stoneydale from Antony and Althea was always very special and I shall miss them very much.
