March edition of St James' Parish Magazine

You will find that many sub menus from the pull down menu system have disappeared. They were getting rather numerous and as time goes on would have continued to increase. All the actual pages are still there and you can reach them by going to the main page for a subject. For instance under St. James' Church there is the menu for Parish Magazines. No sub menus now show from Parish Magazines so to see the Parish Magazines say for 2010 you would go to the Parish Magazine page and from there you will find the link you need. This slimming exercise will hopefully be finished for the whole site in the next week.

St James' Parish Magazine February 2012

In view of the High School's current planning application and the Christleton Parish Council's decision to oppose it on the grounds of increasing traffic flows through the village; it would seem to be an opportune moment to provide some additional information. A link is now available on the Traffic Policies page to an interesting report prepared by the Traffic Action Group concerning Cut-through Journeys in Christleton.

Errata.
People in the News
My sincere apologies. Due to an error in communication I report in the December Magazine that Canon Peris & Mrs Sheila Williams will be celebrating their Golden Wedding in late December 2011. Their 50th Anniversary is actually in December 2012.
I hope you & they enjoy the picture taken after Canon Peris’ last service during the interregnum. DC

blogEntryThumbnailBack from holidays and had a request for a poster for Christleton Fete on Saturday 25th June. Added a bit of humour to the poster for this years Medieval theme as you will see from the home and What's On page. Keep a sharp look out for dragons and frogs!

I have been asked to design the programme for Christleton Village Fete again this year. It will be a pleasure to do as the theme this year is "Medieval". The date is the 25th June and it is now on the What's On page.

End of Disruption

Thanks to the move to a new server I now have the latest version of PHP. PHP is a web scripting language used to produce dynamic web pages. This has enabled me to add a contact page to the web site which you can use to send me an email.

2008 Parish Magazines

The Agenda for the next Christleton Community Plan Meeting on 14th March, 2011 is now available.

March Parish Magazine

Yes I know it is on the old part of the web site. But I just wonder if everyone finds there way there. The interesting history of Skips Lane, Christleton that Jim McCready wrote back in 2009 is now available to read on the Local History page. I will probably continue to pick out odd items from the old web site and bring them onto the new layout.

New Kaleidescope Page

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone used an Apple computer like I do and everyone used Safari as a browser. There are just so many things to keep an eye on when running a web site. The vagaries of web browsers is just one. I think that the RSS feed on the Blog page has not been working for some time although nobody told me. This I think has now been repaired. You can subscribe to the feed by clicking on the link in the bottom right hand corner of the Blog page.

New Magazine Compiler

The next meeting for the Christleton Community Plan is on Monday 14th February. The agenda is now available on the CCP page.
