Harvest Thanksgiving in 1907 at St James.

This is one of many fine photographs taken by Reg Morgan at the turn of the last century and shows the church set out for harvest during the rectorship of Canon Lionel Garnett. The importance of bread in the life of the church and in the service is reflected by the placing of the bread in the centre of the table inscribed with the words, "The Staff of Life."
