Bible Talks
The Winter Series of Monday Bible Talks will take place in the Chapter House on 22nd and 29th January and 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th February. Each talk begins at 1.10 pm and is scheduled to end at 1.35 pm. The title of this series is Amos – A Passion for God’s Justice.
The six talks will be given by Canon Christopher Burkett, Canon James Newcombe and Canon Trevor Dennis. Over the years, the Bible Talks have established a loyal and thoroughly ecumenical following. If you have not been before but would be free on a Monday lunchtime, why not try them? No charge is made and you do not have to attend the whole series, just go when you can.

The Retreat House
Sisters Margaret, Liz and Constance left Chester at the end of December. With their departure, the involvement of the Community of the Holy Name in the running of the Retreat House came to an end.
After refurbishment, the House will re-open in mid February with Valerie Fisher as the new Warden and Pauline West as the Deputy Warden. A programme of retreats and conferences is already in place for 2001.
