| The Christleton Millennium Street Party organized by Jan Williams and Joan Webb moved indoors to the Parish Hall. The event was planned to take place at The Park but due to the poor and unpredictable weather the 120 or so senior citizens from Christleton partied in the Village Hall. A choir from the Primary School entertainedwith Beattles songs. Guests at the party were the Lord Mayor of Chester Reggie Jones and the Lady Mayoress Gail Jones. Dennis Lee had us all singing along with George Formy songs and ended with We'll Meet Again which David Cummings endorsed when he suggested we should all do it again in 2003! |
