A GRAND RESULT

Image

As most of you will know, St James’ Church is fund raising for the refurbishment of the Christleton Parish Hall. Consequently various events have been, and will be, organised in the Parish. One of these on 30th October 2017 was a Bridge Drive event in conjunction with the Deva Bridge Club in Christleton. About 80 people played bridge and were served lunch and drinks by the St James’ catering team. Prizes were awarded to bridge winners and raffle winners. £1,000 was raised – a really splendid ‘grand’ result which will help the Parish Hall refurbishment plan. Cheque presentation photo shows, L to R: John Dawe, Fred Dixon and Annie Mead (President) from the Deva Bridge Club, and Christine Abrams, Elizabeth Inall and Sue Eccles representing the St James’ Fund Raising Group. A big ‘thank you’ to all players, caterers and organisers who enabled this to happen.
