There was an extra bank holiday in 2012 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It was duly marked in the village of Christleton with celebrations in Village Road as well as The Park. Long tables were set out from the Parish Hall on the village green and stretched right down past The Ring O Bells. And if that was not enough there was a wedding at St. James' Church
