Whilst exploring the web for material for this article I came across this record from the Cheshire Historic Environment Record, which lists the details of the coin hoard found in Birch Heath Christleton. I visited the Chapter House at Chester Cathedral earlier for a display of finds by the North Wales and Cheshire Metal Detectorists, and the photographs of the Roman coins and artefacts below were photographed with their permission. I hope to display the original images I have of the Christleton silver hoard in future months. Meanwhile I wanted this article to reflect some of the exciting finds that can be found in the area, if you are fortunate.
