Percy was married to Sarah, and had one child, Ernest Fred Boughey b.1911 and lived at Roadside, Whitchurch Road, Christleton. He was baptised as Perciful Boughey on January 29th 1888. (Parish Registers) and had three siblings; Ernest George 1885, John Herbert 1892, and Amelia Mary 1898. He was an Insurance Agent. He enlisted in Manchester and served with the South African contingent. He died in France near Arras in 1918 just before the Armistice.

Official news received last Monday by Mrs Boughey of Christleton that son Percy of ASG Motor Transport Section (attached to 75th S B A C France) had passed away on 3rd inst, from pneumonia, and is buried in a general cemetery at Douai. Prior to joining the colours on outbreak of war, was employed at Victoria Station, Manchester. Had been at the front for 4years and was on annual leave at home 6weeks ago. Deceased was married & leaves 2 young children for whom greatest sympathy is felt. He was highly respected in the village. The sympathy of everyone in the district is extended to every one of the men who gave up comfortable homes to take part in the great struggle. A memorial service is being arranged in the Parish Church.
