Private Parker was the son of Sergeant Albert Parker late of the Liverpool City Police, but now with Mrs Townshend Logan of Christleton Bank, Whitchurch Road, Christleton. (now The Abbotts Well Hotel)

Before he enlisted Private Parker was in the employ of White Star Line, Liverpool and based on the “Cedric”. His cause of death “killed in action”- whilst carrying out a great act of bravery, rescuing a wounded comrade under heavy fire.
